Do not pay any attention to the 2 previous reviews about this course, as they were obviously written by a couple of people who have eyesight issues. Overrated? Please share your drugs with the rest of us. Maybe Dr. Shteeve can give us all Rx pads so we can all feel as light headed as you. Anyone who would rather play a $40 course twice, than play Old North State once ought to have their head examined. Without a doubt, the best course I have ever played. Always in perfect shape no matter what time of year, and # 18 is just like #18 of Pebble Beach at a fraction of the cost. If you ever have the chance to play this course, do it. You will not be sorry.

I thought I was the only one(see review above). I, too, enjoy this course but I think it is much overrated. There are some very pretty holes (i.e. 16,17,and 18) but for the money ---$85---I'd rather play a $40 course twice!!!

Well, I am definitely in a minority, since this course is consistently rated in the top 10 in the state, currently 2nd only to Pinehurst No. 2. I just don't get it. Certainly a very nice course, great condition, many good holes. I love to play it - played it 3 or 4 times. But 2nd best in the state? Not in my book - just not enough interesting holes, perhaps a bit too country clubish.
