RIP Baby
Im gonna miss this place more than anyone could ever imagine. Ive only been plyaing here fro seven years, but i love it like nothing else. The course will be closing Friday June 30, 2006. It is like losing a family member. Though the course isn't in the greatest shape, it is a spectacular layout and had great ptoential. It was home to me, and now im heartbroken to see it go. the course meant the world to me, and now its gone. If u read this and know how i feel email me at BWeave09@yahoo.com
RIP Cheviot Hills- You will be missed

Cheviot Hills is a fun course and a good value. Although the course is fairly easy overall, there are several challenging holes, especially 16 through 18. Number 18 is a classic risk-reward par 5 with a lake short of the green. The greens are slow, but putt reasonably true. It is difficult to play summer rules on their fairways, and the rough is short / non-existent.

OK.

Can only hit irons off the range which is annoying.

I go here because its one of the better places in the area for the price. It has many changes in elevation and distance, very interesting in that aspect. However, the fairways often feel like you're hitting in a goat farm. The greens are satisfactory.

Nothing very special about this course. Has a nice layout but is a easy course for the most part. Greens are very slow but in decent shape and the fairway and rough need some work. Most of the time you can't tell the difference between the fairway and the rough anyway. Everything is cut short. Not a bad course if you are looking for something cheap, easy and are new to the game.

Customer Service

Customer service in the pro shop was nice but on the course I always felt like somebody was watching me and everytime I turn around there would be a marshal watching. I don't mind them driving around and making sure there are no problems and everybody is keeping up with pace of play but everytime I have been there I feel like I am being constantely monitored.

Range way to short. You can only hit irons and only off a matt.

The course could be so much more. The layout is great but is really is considered a local municiple type course. There are some challenging holes but the rough can be more like a cow pasture than rough. Another drawback is that the course is not open Sunday's before noon, although you have to respect the owners religious beliefs (which also prevents beer on the course). I have played the Cheviot 100+ times and go back because I know it and it is cheap. Not a bad course at all but could be a really great course if they chose to make it one.

Customer Service

The people are nice
