Truly a goat path. Poor condition, antiquated layout and poor bunkers and green complexes. Don't waste you money here when so much better courses in the area are available for half the price.

Terrible and untruthful. Was told course had been aerated a month before we arrived and in pristine condition. It was anything but true. Greens just punched a week before and were bumpy and hairy. Would not give refund befor we teed of or any discount. Very poorly managed!!!!

Great Donald Ross layout. That's all u need to know.

this was really the only weakness. the course conditioning was not very impressive (played in late November). The fairways were just starting to go dorment and the ryegrass had just starting to grow in. It was very patchy and uneven. the old penncross bent on the greens had really burned off over time. However, dont let this discourage you. They renovated it over the summer and they replaced all the grasses. I havent played it since then, but it should be in much better shape.

The first time i played this course was the first time i have ever been to the sandhills. I dont even know where to start. I was nothing short of thouroughly impressed. The course is so peaceful and scenic. This is Ross at the very best. It is the picture-perfect example of sandhills golf with the tree-lined fairways and the pinestraw bordering every hole. The greens are not big at all. Very small green size with the runoff and collection areas all around the greens. this is a must play if you are in the pinehurst area.

Price places it out of the budget for regular play.

From the moment you enter the clubhouse, you know you are in for a treat. The facilities are top shelf and the aura of Peggy Kirk Bell makes one immediatly aware that they are in a special place. The course is challenging but ultimately fair as each hole builds upon the last to make up what is surely the best golf course I have ever played. I would gladly play out my golfing days on this course, secure in the knowledge that its challenges and intricacies would keep me happily occupied.
