Large undulating greens and the use of terrain to set up some astonishing holes with scenic vistas.

The decision to cut more of the rough has changed the play of the course. Let it grow around the greens and the edges of the fairways and then course requires both length and accuracy.

The course is in pretty decent shape especially after some warm rains. The greens are in good shape with the exception of the first which has some drainage difficulty. Every putt has break and the greens are difficult to read. The fairways provide consistent tight lies from which to hit. The tee boxes are in excellent shape and the entire course is a pleasure to play.

Delivers on its boasts of offering some of the finest and most picturesque golf in the country. They like to call it British golf without the airfare, and that''s what you get for $31 for 18 holes.

The clubhouse needs to have a booklet printed up diagraming the holes with yardages and advice about where to place the ball on blind tee shots, which are numerous. Several times I teed the ball up and then didn''t want to hit it because it looked like there was no safe place to go. Kind of like golfing with Ray Charles ;). Grass on some of the steep green undulations was allowed to burn off.

The perfect golf course plopped down in the middle of some of the most beautiful agricultural land you will ever see. Tremendous views of badlands and the lake, and a course that perfectly replicates British Links conditions. The fairways and greens are all very hard and fast with tricky undulations. Some pins are placed for easy scoring while some are completely unassailable. Plenty of elevation changes that follow the land''s natural contour. #17 is a 200 yd par 3 with a tee box elevated some 60 feet above the green. While there are no water hazards, the native grass rough serves the same purpose. Your ball is history if you don''t keep in the fairway or the first cut. Without a doubt the greatest course I have played to date. never been so proud to shoot a 90. Just wish that it wasn''t such a chore to get there. A surrealy beautiful and challenging golf experience that should not be missed if your travels take you within 150 miles of the place. Absolutely stunning!
