I play this course every week and can''t believe how lucky I am to do so. Basically learned to play here and look forward to it every week. Re: comment from previous reviewer about lack of rough - it is there, and will certainly make you think about club selection if you''re trying to hit a green, but what it "lacks" in rough, it makes up for with trees and slope of fairways - if you don''t hit the fairway, chances are you will be shut out from going at the green and have to pitch onto the fairway from behind a tree somewhere. Bent grass greens are VERY tough, many sloping viciously from back to front or dish-shaped, making lag-putts very tricky. Bluegrass fairways are the best of their kind I have played on. The course maintenance is excellent - they are refurbishing the bunkers at the time of writing this review. Each hole has its own character, #2 is one of the toughest par 4''s around, and #18 is so breathtaking from the tee box that you are hard-pressed to concentrate on hitting the ball cleanly. Very good value and overall, one of the best courses around for the money. Walk it if you''re in shape (holes #14 - #18 will test your legs up and down hills)

Wow what a great course. Every time I go the course is in great condition. Outstanding layout(maybe because the course was designed by Donald Ross who also did Pinehurst #2) Personally I think it is one of the best in Ohio.

What memories. I grew up here and used to sneak on to play my 16 holes. The guy who went with me, his brother is the golf pro there now. Nice course. Has had it's share of changes. Not alot of rough to get caught up in, wide faiways, not a hard course, but a scenic well kept course.Golf Pro there is also a nice guy :) Since moving to Tennessee, I always like to go back and play some here every year. (maybe I will sneak on once for old memories)

A great layout. Especially nice is the variety in the par 4's; from the blues they range from under 330 yards to 430+. Requires use of strategy, rather than just hitting the ball hard every time.

Greens can be tricky, especially for pitches and chips. They are classic Ross crown shapes, and the edges will tend to throw balls off line - play for the slope or carry the ball past the edge sloping. On 9, there are a couple of places where putts seem to break uphill - optical illusions at work.

Condition is very good. Fairways were well kept without being overwatered and squishy. Greens will hold a good shot and putt true (once you figure out the real slope).
