Shoot in the 70s

There are two courses at this resort...the Blue and the Gold. The Blue course is quite long and can be difficult, and the Gold is far shorter and more manageable for the average player. The Blue plays around 7100 from the tips and has several very long, difficult par fours. I played it in March, and so condition is difficult to evaluate. The greens were growing and green and were of average pace, and rolled pretty smoothly. I found out that I hate Bermuda grass, particularly when it is dormant, as it was then. I am sure that when not dormant, it is in good shape. There are lots of good holes, and the course is set on the rolling hills above Grand Lake. Lots of strange lies and penalties await offline shots. Out there, if you make a mistake off the tee, it will be very difficult to save par, or even bogey.

The Gold course also has lots of hills and awkward lies, but is not as penal. It is much more playable for all ability levels. It is in very similar shape to the Blue course.

Customer Service

Good pro shop service and marshals

Nice pro shop, full restaurant and bar facilities on site, with many others very close to the resort. Unfortunately, typical resort prices exist and so figure spending $10 minimum on lunch
