Ghost Creek
Overrated - Course is straight forward - only 2 holes require thinking much about your tee shot. Some small hills but this course IS located in North PLAINs.
SURPRISE! - it's ALWAYS cart path only!
The good news - it is a walk able layout in a rural setting.

Customer Service

Poor service for what is supposed to be a highly rated course.
If you call and get put on hold listening to their message for more than 5 minutes that means they are closed for maintenance. Don't bother driving there to find that out. When I finally was able to make a tee time for the next day they made it for 2 days later. No one got my bag at the drop. No one offered to clean my clubs. They were more interested in getting a shotgun started.

This is the public 18 at Pumpkin Ridge, a club that has held many USGA championships in its relatively short existence (Tiger won his 3rd US Amatuer on the private side). This 18 provides a great, but fair challenge for golfers of all capabilities. The tees range from 6000-6900 yards and water comes into play many times throughout the round (hence the name Ghost Creek). There are many risk reward holes, but be careful about the lay up...they are not that easy. The two finishing holes to each 9 are difficult with #9 being the most difficult hole I have played in Oregon.

Customer Service

Good for the most part. No fee for range balls and adequate staffing when required.
