Played a three day weekend. Chestnut Ridge is a nice course, Tom's Run is excellent, great layout, and a fair challenge at any level of play. The staff was friendly and helpful. The dinner menu, though limited, gave a fair selection and the food was very good.

Chestnut Ridge and Tom's Run (it's sister Course) are probably the nicest public courses in Western PA. Tom's Run is twice the price but well worth it.

We bring 12 to 16 golfers about once a year. We live 2 1/2 hours north of Blairsville. We play Sunday afternoon, stay over & play Monday morning.

Customer Service

Truly great. Very personable & friendly. Love to talk.

The Comfort Inn at Blairsville needs to be replaced with a better facility. We will not stay there again after this last trip.

Tom's Run and Chestnut Ridge are two great courses. It is the best kept secret in Western PA. They are both 4.5 Star Rated Courses. There are only 11 in the entire state. We play both courses quite often. It takes us less than an hour to get there, and it is well worth the drive. It takes us as long to get there as it takes to get to the courses south of Pittsburgh. These two are a "must play." I think the next closest resort with two 4.5 Star courses is Penn National (3-4 hours from The Burgh).

Customer Service

Nice service with pretty girls all over the place.

They had a lunch buffet that was $7.95 (I think). It had two of three good entrees, a salad and soup bar, two veggies, pasta and potato, and a dessert bar. This was a little much for a break inbetween

We have a group that takes an annual trip to Chestnut Ridge. The two courses are fun to play. They are a fair test of golf, if you play well, you score well if you play poorly, you score poorly.

Customer Service

Excellent. Dave and his staff, as well as Lori at the Comfort Inn have always been accommodating.

Chestnut Ridge Resort actually has two separate courses: Chestnut Ridge and Tom's Run. Tom's Run is the newer and nicer of the two. It is very well maintained and the greens are cut low and fast. Tom's Run is long from the back tees and plays even longer because the wind always seems to be blowing in your face. Be prepared to hit driver, 3-wood (or 2-iron) on a number of holes. It is much easier to play from the white tees.
