Tumblebrook GC is a gem of a 9-hole golf course. I have played this course for the last 33 years. It has gone from "cow pasture-like" fairways to currently pristine (as of August, 2009). The fairways are now actually better than many of the local 18-hole area courses. Kudos to the course manager and the employees. Also, the rates are a bargain. They actually have a reasonable 9 hole rate, unlike the other local courses. This Donald J. Ross designed course is a joy to play. Also, it is more difficult than the slope ratings indicate. The tree-lined fairways, small sloped or elevated greens, and numerous stream interplays add to Tumblebrook's complexity and charm.

There is construction on two out of nine holes (spring 2002). The fairways don't provide a lot of good lies and heaven help you if you're in the rough!

Don't let the 96 slope fool you, this course plays tougher than that! The course will kill you if you don't stay on the fairway and most of the greens are sloped to the extreme and very fast.
