Shoots in the 90s

Beautiful course. One of the most challenging in the area. To call this course terrible is an absolute insult. This is a "Golfer's" course. If you love the game of golf you'll love this course. Long rolling fairways, bunkered greens, water and of course trees. All this brought together to form a great golfing experience. I've played this course, literally dozens of times and never ever has it taken me any longer than 3 1/2hrs to play this course with a partner and groups in front and behind us.

Customer Service

Shoots in the 90s

I have been playing this course for about 10 years and it never gets old!! For what it cost to play here it is definately worth it. The course is usually in very good shape and rarely do you have a bad lie if you are anywhere near the fairway. I have no clue why these other people are trashing this course because this is just as nice as the four courses i played on while vacationing in The Outter Banx NC. Very challenging snd the bsckdrop is beautiful. The Houses on this course are very nice as well. A must play course for any one.

Shoots in the 90s

This may be the worst course in Southern Pennsylvania. Someone needs to tell the greens keepers that it's not illegal to put the holes on a level area of the greens vs. on the side of a hill.

Good

Nice clubhouse, cold sandwiches are not appetizing but overall the available food will suffice for a hungry golfer.

Shoot in the 80s

Some very beautiful and challenging holes on this course. My gripe is that it takes 5 to 5 1/2 hours to complete 18 holes. Never play there again.

Shoot in the 90s

I play in the weekdays for $17(ride) with the Gotham membership(costs $35). An execellent to play in any occasion. Driving from hole to hole is like riding Disney coasters. The secnary is nice. The difficulty lies in #10 and #6. I'll never forget I got an 8 in the par 3 #6. In this hole, you want to go over the green to the right to avoid the water in front of the green. The ideal tee shoot is landing the ball on the roof of the barn to the right and it'll land softly on the right spot of the green. The safest way is to drive 80 yards and put it close to the hole on the 2nd shot.

#3
To avoid the water before and after the green, drive to the left for safety, unless you can control the ball landing within 15 yards.

#10
I often watch balls making splashes next to the #9 tee box. People just don't get it?! If you drive 200 yards leave 200 to the green with water surrounding it, why don't you make the 2nd shoot just before the water? The 3rd shoot would be much easier to reach the hole then trying to reach the green by the 2nd shoot. The distance is 30 yards from the back to the front of the green.

Fairway isn't easy to find. Balls into the woods will be hard to recover. Be aware of hidden traps. You need a guild for this course.

Shoot in the 90s

Greencastle Greens was formally owned By Hall of Famer Ron Jaworski. They did some great improvements and The course is a great local track. The holes are very challenging but fun at the same time. Don't be in a hurry this is a long course "A Must Ride" course. Number 10 is an Island green with many victims and The Number 3 Par 3 is a picture perfect hole. The course is Ussually in great shape but there might be some standing water. Soft greens with decent tee boxes. And a great price

Customer Service
