Shoots in the 80s

Played this course some time ago and was not impressed with the condition. I remember the bunkers being pitiful, the greens were average and the fairways were not well maintained. On the other hand I do believe this course has a lot of potential as there are many holes that are very unique and offer some room for those big hitters. Holes are laid out well and the gimmick holes are not found here. A couple elevated tees make it a nice view and the surroundings are great.

I remember the pro shop being poor and the staff was average. This was some time ago so this may have changed

Shoots in the 80s

Overall the course is not bad for the price. You can ride after 3 pm for $18.50. Great deal. Make sure you go on a day when it hasn't rained for about 3-5 days. Very soggy and holds a large amount of water. Greens are large and relatively flat. A variety of holes. Back nine is much more challenging that the front.

Shoots in the 90s

The first couple of greens are not good as there are many ball marks not repaired. It seems it gets better after that, but the greens are slow. The drainage is horrible and the fairways are high this year. The scenery is very good, but the fairways need work as there are spots where there is no grass in the fairway.

Shoot in the 90s

Well...if you go...call for a tee time after 3 pm so you can get the special..$ 18.50 to ride 18. Not too much to say nice about this course. The bunkers all were hard packed sand and most had grass growing in the middle of them. Thee greens are in bad shape. There is goose sh*t all over the 2nd green and these feathered creatures are on 4 of the first 9 holes. The tee off positions are not changed frequently so you have to hit off of the dirt!! NO GRASS!! Also nobody fixes their ball marks so the greens look like they have been shot with a shotgun. A plus is the scenery...it is a very pretty course. Also....watch for the dead tree between 17 and 18. When the wind blows it sounds like it will fall on you!! I played this course often in the past 10 years and I am sad to say that I will not return! I even shot a 90 today (06/17/01) and I won't come back unless changes are made. If you are in Huntingdon County....drive down to the American Legion Country Club in Mount Union and play there.
