Shoots in the 80s

Do not try to walk this course, do not try to walk this course and do not try to walk this course. Atleast the guy that I am would not try to walk this course. With that being said........

I enjoyed this course a great deal. It helped that I played very well, but overall, I had a great deal of fun with Bavarian Hills. The steep slopes created some very unique shots. All tee shots seemed to be up or down hill shots. Not many holes were flat lies throughout the entire hole. This was the main challenge on every hole. The greens were the best feture of this course as they rolled true and fast. Most were relatively flat, but some did offer slopes (mostly on the front side). There is plenty of water and a lot of areas that your tee shot can find trouble. Collection areas such as ponds, traps and higher rough are placed in landing area off from most tees.

Length is not an issue as I believe the longest hole was 500 yards from the white tees.

The course overall was in great shape. The course is carved out of a wooded area which presents plenty of problems if you are not straight off from the tee. I found myself using irons off the tees on many of the par 4s. This saved a couple strokes easily for me.

I would suggest this course to anyone that wishes to play something a bit different. It is well worth the trip.

The only negative with this course is that it is fairly tricky to find. Our party went round and round since the signage leading you into the course is lacking to nonexistant.

Customer Service

The limited contact I had with them seemed friendly enough. A guy working the turn pointed out to us where the bar and refreshments were. It was done so to the point that made it seem like he was working on commisions. No problems though as it was 95 degrees out and any help was appreciated.

Shoots in the 90s

This was the nicest course for the money, when I lived in Ridgway, PA. It is long but the greens are medium fast. I always shot in the low 90''''s, primarily because of my putting. I would predict that the low handicappers will enjoy this course, because it is not easy, but you''''ll enjoy it. It is a hilly course, so I wouldn''''t recommend walking, unless you''''re in shape. Water hazards are in play. If it were located near Pittsburgh or other urban center it would cost a lot more. The course is kept in immaculate shape.

Customer Service

Not a whole lot to speak of...its a public course.
