Makefield highlands Golf Course at it's inception was a great public course that was well managed and you received what you paid for. $80 for a obviously improperly managed greens staff. The poa contamination on greens which make a consistent putt impossible plus the lack of attention to detail I give this course a 1 don't waste your time or money. This golf course's slogan is privite for a day what a joke!

Customer Service

Nice people with no idea!

For $28 (off season) this is a steal. Reg season this weekend round would have cost $80. The course was in great shape for Nov. It is a very well designed layout. The greens have true roll and are undulating and challenging. Fairways and bunkers were in great shape. A must play. The round does get to be long. We walked and played at a fairly good speed and it still took us about 4:40 to finish. Since this is links style there is a lot of walking involved. I wish I could play there every weekend.

Customer Service

Starters are very courteous and polite.

They give a break on green fees to Township residents but not Associate members. I don't understand this practice. They have my money up front and all I got was a plastic tag for my bag a towel a sleeve of golf balls and a divot tool and a gin card which is what I wanted in the first place. I think it cost me somewhere around 147.00 the gin card was 30.00 something. The rest of the stuff I could have gotten at Dicks for about 25.00.
They tried to get me to join this year and I ask them about a discount on green fees and again they said that the township wouldn't let them offer it to their members, just residents. SO I SAID NO THANKS. Had a round where the ranger told us to speed it up a little on the 9th hole. When we look at the time after we played the 9th hole we played the front 9 in less than 2hrs. I didn't understand this guy. On another time I took us 3.5 hrs to play 12 holes and we didn't see a ranger at all. We all picked up and left they gave us a 5.00 refund wasn't that big of them. They do nothing for the golfer its all money money money.

Customer Service

Kind of stuck up.

not worth the money, that simple. Im a resident, and still feel green fees are high. Great practice facility; go there just to putt/chip, then head to another course. Course is in ok shape, nothing to brag about. Id play north hampton instead.

Customer Service

ok

THIS IS A VERY PRETTY COURSE. I WISH I COULD SAY I ENJOYED MY OUTING. IT WAS MY FIRST VISIT TO THIS COURSE. I FELT HARRASSED BY THE RANGER. HE FOLLOWED US FOR AT LEAST 6 HOLES. HE HAD US UNDER THE IMPRESSION OUR GROUP WAS PLAYING SLOWLY. THE FOURSOME AHEAD OF US AND BEHIND US WERE FRIENDS WHO ARRIVED WITH US AS WELL AS ANOTHER GROUP. EACH GROUP CLAIMS TO HAVE BEEN HARRASSED. I PLAY BUCKS COUNTY COUNTRY CLUB, ISLAND GREEN, PINECREST, CENTER SQUARE, BENSALEM ETC ... WITH THESE SAME GUYS. WE'VE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM BEFORE. WE STARTED AT 8:33 AND FINISHED BEFORE NOON. WHAT'S THEIR PROBLEM? I DON'T THINK I SHOULD PAY $74 FOR THAT KIND OF TREATMENT.

a beautiful 2 year old course. lush and green. however when we made the tee time we were not advise that there was a family reunion of about 30 golfers (and i use that term extremely loosly) that would be out in front of us, some of which should be in a nursing home and not on a golf course. we waited on every tee and fairway. it took 5 hours to play 17 holes. we got to the 18th tee and there was a 4some just leaving the tee and 2 more 4somes waiting to tee off. we were at the 5 hour round by then and looking at close to 6 hours. while the rangers were polite enough to recognoze the horrid pace of play and tell us abuot it (i guess they thought we were unaware of the pace since we were standing around waiting) they allowed these people, some of which have never played golf before, to continue play after the turn. the proper thing to do would have been to advise us of the situation when we made our tee time so we could reconsider playing that day on that course, but all makefield was interested in was dollar signs. speaking of dollar sings they charged us weekend rates to play golf on a friday. i don't know about anyone else but i was always thought and my employer pays me as if friday were a weekday. as a matter of fact i was on vacation that day specifically to play golf. that is the one thing i did not do. i waited and stood around and occasionally got to hit a golf ball but the pace of play was so snail like that you could not develop any rythem in your game. hey makefield! friday is a weekday not the weekend stop gouging prices already. i saw the beverage girl several times but she had very little in the way of snacks but was well stocked on beer. they might want to think about putting in a roving hot dog stand or something since you can count on being out there for well over 5 hours and you'll get very hungry.

Customer Service

fair at best. polite people but the dollars are more important then customer service.
