Very poor pro shop and very poor pro. Not interested in customers at all. They have no rangers at times and will let a single group hold up the whole course. There were 3 holes open in front of a group and the pro shop said that that was not a problem!

Customer Service

None. Fire the whole pro shop.

Shoots in the 90s

The front nine is deceptively difficult. I've been playing this course for years and have never seen a birdie on the second hole. If your ball goes in the water on this course, leave it there. The film growing the surface looks and smells like toxic waste. The back nine is more scenic and peaceful, with the exception of the C-130s taking off behind some of the tee boxes. A bigger putting green is being built behind the relatively new clubhouse. The driving range is obviously an afterthought for the grounds crew. The grass practice tee is always in horrible shape. With some work, this course could be a much better muni.

Customer Service

Slackers. It's obvious that the golfers care more about the course than the employees.

This was once a navy base and this was a military course. The front 9 was built in the 1940's the back 9 added in the 1960's . The back nine is laid out around the indurstial park in the area, but kept hidden with trees, nicely done. A lot of people in quiet times mess up and play #12 and jump to #16 without realizing it. Be careful that you play #13 towards the AFB and the runway, not to your right. A lot of jumping out of order can happen. I good value for your $32 on a weekday morning, not too crowded for a single walkon at7am.

i am a junior member at this course. i reccommend the junior membership for anyone who is a serious golfer (250 bucks and golf everyday after 12). i've already paid it back 5 times over. This course has alot of potential with a great layout and interesting holes. The condition is the only thing that is lacking. Most teeboxes are not level at all with dug up grass. DO NOT GO after it rains....the fairways will be like quicksand for a week or two. Greens lush and thick, not fast at all and putts arent true. All in all, a decent course with quite a bit of potential.

Customer Service

Those guys in the pro-shop are great. Carter's staff is awesome too (become a regular and get free food every once in a while)!!

Nice course, pretty straight forward on the front with little hazards. Back nine incredibly windy. Depending on the gusts, a normal drive could be 450 or 100 yards. Nice view of Narragansett Bay and air force base. Plays tougher than the layout implies

Customer Service

Proshop and bar staff are always nice

Driving range is suspect. Balls are pretty old and beaten.. Actually, one ball I hit was so old it was made of sewn leather and looked like a mini baseball
