Shoots in the 80s

Played this incredible course last week. It is a truly wonderful experience. The range and practice facilities are superior. During my first round I noted to my partner that I had used every club in my bag and we were only on the 11th!
Each hole is memorable but a few stand out.
The 4th is the #1 handicap, a long par 4 from an elevated tee. It doglegs left with a creek running along the left side then crossing in front of the green. The seventh might be the best 3 par Palmer ever designed. Finally the 18th is one of the best most challenging par 4's I have ever played.
Golf and only golf are what matters here. Beware that this course is very challenging. The greens were PERFECT, but are fast with plenty of "roll out".
You will love if you are fortunate enough to play it!

Shoots in the 80s

One of the best courses in the U.S. This is how to design a golf course. Greens are like a pool table. Fairways and tees are perfect. Never crowded. You will fall in love with this course. Similar to Pinehurst #2 and Grandfather Mtn. In the middle of nowhere. #49 in the USA built since 1960 (Golfweek). No houses. So quiet you could hear a pin drop. Saw 4 Deer and 8 Turkeys. Most likely Arnold's best course.

Shoot in the 80s

One of the most beautiful and probably the most challenging course in SC. The course is in excellent shape: greens, tees, fairways. The priority here is to hit it in the fairway. The course is set up to be visually challenging as well. Any bad shots will be penalized. There is little room for error. The greens are the nicest I have seen in the state. They roll so true. It is a shame more courses can't have greens even close to these.
