Course is fine if you don't mind 6 hour rounds. Staff is rude.

Played Clipper/Galleon at Shipyard on 9/8/07. Very disappointed. To travel to Hilton Head (a resort community) and face 6-8 greens with no grass or very little grass on them was a great surprise. Additionally surprising was the attitude in the pro shop when I was told I was one of 70-80 people who had complained and that there was no control over what "maintenance" did. Disappointing all around. Would not go back.

Hit it straight or you're in trees, water. Keep the driver in the bag on most tees.

spent Christmas03 in Hilton Head; played all 3 9's @ Shipyard. Overseeded greens, fairways, tees; rough dormant bermuda. Great shape, very enjoyable courses. Greens very true.
