Shoots in the 80s

Very disappointed by the Wizard. With the exception of the finishing holes, the course was very average. Clubhouse is very cool, but that is about all that I enjoyed.

Played Man O' War last time down and enjoyed it much more.

I am becoming very wary of the gimmicky marketed courses in the MB area.

Customer Service

Average. Outside staff was very friendly, but did not get so much as a hello from the person behind the desk.

Very minor, but very disapointed there was no draft beer for the 19th hole.

Ok so it has a castle for a club house, Wooo. The course is flat as a pancake and was in muni condition. Packed way too many golfers on the course and slow play was very evident. No ranger or assistant. Service was fair at best.

This course was awesome! It was in great shape and the greens were exceptional. The day I played was very wet so there wasn't much role but the course still played great! I HIGHLY recommend anyone visiting Myrtle Beach to play~! The over all look is awesome, the clubhouse is a castle~!

intersting track, gives you a fair amount of room off the tee but there's plenty of trouble is you start to spray it. Beware of the fescue grass on the mounding, easy to lose a ball.

Excellent course..... in great shape .... about as good as
any I have played in the area. Greens, tee boxes were very good. Club house was EXCEPTIONAL and prices were good.
Employees were very polite and I would play the course again. Excellent value when included with their sister courses(THE WITCH and Man of War) in a package.

The day we played was one of the windiest days I have ever played golf and I have played many, many, many rounds on the links of Scotland. It was a steady wind of 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph.
The course was designed to allow this type of condition as you could hit knockdowns and bump and run shots. The front nine was fairly basic with no hole particulary challenging nor a visual standout. However, the back nine had some character that forced you to think where you were going to place your shot. The back nine par 3's were very good as was the finishing hole.
The condition of the course was good with the exception of the bunkers.
Of the 100 and some courses in this area, this course would fall into the lower middle third.

This was one of the more interesting looking courses I have played on my last trip to Myrtle Beach. I clubhouse is made to look like an abandoned castle. Very cool looking. $40 afternoon special really made this course a big bargin. The hole lay out is very interesting rolling hills, sand and a little water make up most of challenge. The greens roll true and the large wild grass covered hills make for a Scottish style links experience. Not quite like the Legends courses, but The Wizard had it's own special flavor.

We arrived late in the afternoon and the staff was still very nice, even though it was obvious we were gonna be the last foursome on the course.
