Shoot in the 80s

This is the best course in the Myrtle Beach area - always in great condition. The restaurant is worth driving out the way to for lunch.
Beautiful entrance tells you you are in for a treat. Enjoy the scenery and the the golf will be fun.

Shoot in the 80s

Another one of Myrtle Beach's true gems.

This course offers an excellent golfing experience for all skill levels. It also appeals to a variety of tastes, I believe.

My impression of the course was, most importantly, its tremendous condition. But I loved the way the designers so beautifully melded a classic course cut through very mature woodlands with some links style flair. The layout is pure old-style beauty with fairways that offer ample undulations along with some devilishly placed pot bunkers. If near the few water hazards on the course, beware! I saw enough gators lining some of the waters' edge to last a golf lifetime. Large waste bunkers line some fairways while a healthy dose of bunkerage also protects the large greens.

The greens are pretty receptive to approach shots and putt fast.

The clubhouse is very small but somehow is elegantly perfect for the course. I didn't have time to go inside after the round (we had another 18 holes scheduled for True Blue just up the road, excellent course too!) and was disappointed not to grab a momento.

Overall, a great day on a terrific course that seems to happily marry old with new with its impressive design. A true stunner and one that will not disappoint!
