Played this course as the 2nd 18 of the day. First 18 at Tradition. The starter told us we would find the greens a little faster that Tradition. They were nowhere near as nice as Tradition. This is a nice track and I would play it again, but would only consider this average or slightly above average for the courses we played.

Customer Service

No problems. A little sparse on the beverage cart showing up.

Model Reviewed: Willbrook Plantation

Great hidden gem. This was one of 5 courses in Pawleys we played. The bad news first. The greens were a little bushy and sandy, and very slow. However, EVERYTHING else about this course was excellent. Though slow, the greens were VERY consistent from hole to hole. The course was very scenic, with a great layout. Challenging, but fair, and water everywhere. Water in play on about 14 holes I think. This looks like a course where you'll see more locals and less tourists. Very friendly, "club like" atmosphere. Overall, I'll definitely go back. A very relaxed, enjoyable round.

Customer Service

I can't say enough about the friendly staff. From the guard shack to the clubhouse...EXCELLENT.

Willbrook was the last course I played on my 4-day trip to the area. After playing 4 other courses in 3 days, it would've taken alot to impress me. But I must say that I was very impressed by the intimacy and layout of the course through the beautiful Carolina lowlands. The scenery, wildlife were captivating, Oh & the golf was great too! Always fun to play a par-3 island green too. The front 9 was great, the back 9 seemed to lose a little of its appeal, and the course was a little roughed up on a couple of holes. Overall, a great experience. If your on vacation in the area, playing a few different courses, this is a great one to finish your vacation on.

Shoot in the 70s

This is a solid golf course. It's not top 100 material but there are no weak holes on the course. From the opening hole you get challenged off the tee with a dogleg right hole that requires you to hit over marsh with a slight fade with some distance. And the finishing hole is a strong par 5 that requires pinpoint accuracy on every shot. Every par 5 is solid as are the 3's. You have to hit a variety of shots - draws, fades, bump & runs, high and soft. If you stray too much, you can get in trouble but there are bailout areas on most holes. The condition of the course was immaculate. Our only negative was they had Bermuda greens that were a little bumpy. I would definetly play this course again and rank it in my top 20 courses of the Myrtle Beach area and would recommend it to out of towners and even my friends.

Customer Service

We got behind some vacationers that were on their way to shooting 120. We waited on every shot for 16 of the 18 holes. When we asked the "player assistance" guy riding around, he said there was nowhere to go when we could visibly see at least one full open hole in front of these people. Although he was pleasant, it appeared as if he didn't want to go to the trouble of trying to speedup play.

Went into the pro shop after our round, approximately 6:30 pm, to see if there was anything we wanted to buy. Was told they had closed the register and the snack shop so we were out of luck. I'm not saying we would have bought anything but we were never given the chance. We did want to sit down in the snack area for a cold drink but that wasn't possible either.
