One of the hardest golf courses I have ever played. It use to be listed as one of the top 5 hardest courses on the East Coast. And for a few guys in front of me this was true, they lost a good many balls. If you can't control your shoots this is a hard course, but even if you cant this place is BEAUTIFUL...

10 years of neglect by previous owners. The company now owning the course has worked diligently the past 8 months and has turned this place around like you would not believe. Can't wait till this upcoming golf season when the fairways are not dormaint anymore.

The Golf course is no longer under old ownership by the Down's. A local investment group has bought out the course and surrounding land. The course is the best shape it has been in in many many years. Greens are full of grass and the fairways are immaculant. There is a lot of work to be done yet, but there is a 3 year plan in the works to rework tee boxes, cart paths, greens, and bunker, also drainage is targeted in this plan as well.

Customer Service

The club house staff is the most friendly staff of individuals I have ever meet at a golf course. The Professioanl there is the youngest man I have ever meet with that much responsibility on his shoulders, be he is very bright and courteous. He gave me an exceptional deal on a set of Ben Irons, and it even came with 2 complimentary 1+ hour lessons THAT WERE ON COURSE. What golf course does that!!!!

This course also has a full service fitness center that can be used for 7 bucks after your round. Basketball courts, indoor swimming pool, raquetball, cardio, weights, but the best thing is the sauna!!! I played 27 holes, relaxed in the sauna for 30 minutes, and was cleaned up in the shower and meet my wife for dinner in rock hill. It doesnt get better than this!!!

Fairways and greens

I played this course last year and the greens were not to good. but mr. downs has worked hard and the greens look great and the tee boxes are good too.
