This is a very nice 3 nines course that is usually in very good shape in the spring and summer; but for some reason, they lose the grass in all their fairways in late summer and fall. I highly recommend it early in the year.

First course we head for each spring for our annual trip. Usually in great shape. We have met plugged greens in April. Knobs and Fodder make 18 great holes. Chimney altogether different.

Customer Service

Great - very friendly

great course with bluegrass fairways, very challenging for the beginner and scratch player. i played there last summer ( 02 ) and it was very dry but course was in great condition. chimney tops (last 9) was very challenging with houses and trees to contend with. you won't be disappointed, can't wait to go back here in a couple of weeks.

Shoot in the 80s

This is my favorite course in northeast TN. Well maintained greens, tees, and fairways. Undulating, multi-tiered greens can be very difficult when the course is really dry. Nice scenery, pretty well away from most signs of civilization.

Knobs and Fodderstack are pretty straight-forward links-style nines with heavy secondary rough, while Chimneytop is heavily treed for the most part with some really tight fairways(esp. #4).

Playable for all levels. Can be difficult when you miss the fairways. The back tees on Chimney Top are for the better players only. Probably the best public/semi-private course within 100 miles, regardless of price. You can walk the original 18 if you so choose. The greens are readable and consistent for putting... except moving between the original nine (Knobs and Fodderstack) and Chimney Top requires some adjustment.

Customer Service

Nice people... make you feel welcome.

A must play course. Best from the back tees. Beautiful, well manicured fairways, greens and rough. Not challenging enough from the white tees. Not too much trouble. Just play well and you will be rewarded. You can hit driver on almost all the par 4's and 5's. Very fun course too.

Very nice course. Greens are in good shape and the maintenence is good. Tees are also in good shape. I love this course. The mountain course is also a lot of fun to play. I would recommend this course to everyone. Even though it was fairly difficult, I had a good time.

Customer Service

A little too yuppie-fied for me.
