The course is located on the road to Dollywood. The course is well maintained. My round was played on 13 April 2011 after a few days of heavy rains. Cart path only this day. The front nine is walkable, the back nine is not. The front nine is nice - friendly fairways, receptive greens, very mildly protected by traps. The fairways were in pretty good shape (bermuda overseeded with rye, I'd guess). The greens were recently aerated and but rolled pretty well). Tee boxes are longing for warmer weather at this point. The back 9 is very gimmicky. Most holes on this 9 require local knowledge to be enjoyable. If you don't have someone with you that knows the course, play tee shots that are questionable toward the conservative side.

I don't know if they have a 9 hole rate or not, but I'd go back here multiple times to play the front. The back was just a little too gimmicky to be fun.

Customer Service

Check in was easy. I tried to talk them into letting me walk 18, but they refused. They rightly pointed out that the front nine is walkable, but the back 9 is not.

I've not played much "mountain golf". The Grandview course in Curwensville, PA - a _very_ cheap muni in rural PA - resembles this course a bit.

We played this course 2 years ago while on Vacation. Tight and tough. Some of the holes are kind tricky, the naming of the holes are kind of descripive. Condition of the course is above average for the area, in this resort area the golf choices are limited, yet there are worse places to play. Tip there is central tee time for the Smokies courses use it you will save some bucks on green fees. This will make the trip eaiser.

Played Gatlinburg CC; it was very different from FL courses. Started out good; had to walk to ball on several holes; could not leave cart path; back par 3, was very nice; from the white tee, 158 yds; looked like the ball went 200 yards off the top of the mountain; beautiful hole; cart ride coming down mountain was nice. I would play again.

Have played this course several times over the years and and is one of my favorites. Only complaint is the staff is one of the most unfriendly you will ever see. The attitude seems to be they are doing you a favor by allowing you to play the course and I have heard others say the same. It is also one of the more expensive in the area.

Front nine holes you wouldn't think you were in the
mountains;pretty normal layout.Back nine is a different
story;alot more of the mountain comes into play. One par
3 must drop what sames to be 200 feet to the green, that's
a pretty cool hole. The rest of the back nine is tight and
kinda mickey mouse golf.
