Shoots in the 80s

This was a course that my wife and I played while on vacation in Dallas. There was a variety of holes; some tight, some wide open and several with some elevation changes.

Customer Service

Nothing special.

Driving range was OK, had a nice bunker practice area.

Above average for an inexpensive municipal course. Fairways are usually good except in the dead of winter and greens usually pretty good. Front nine has a variety of wide open and tight fairways. Back nine is somewhat more challenging with more of a premium to be in the fairway. If you get much out of the fairway it really sucks with the rocks. If you don't get it in the fairway the four of the last 5 holes will ruin your day.

Shoot in the 80s

Even though this is a municipal course the fairways are generally as lush in the summer as any club or resort course I have played. The greens can range from pretty good to fair most of the year. Even at their worst they are still relatively smooth. They rebuilt them a couple of years ago but I haven't noticed any real difference. A few of the tees notably 5, 9, 12, 15, and 18 are usually bare or are not level. Overall you get a lot for your money with a good mixture of short and long holes. The backside has a couple of unusually tight holes but are short enough to use irons and still have chance for birdie. They really have to do something eventually about all of the very rocky bare areas in the rough. Sometimes these are just a few feet from the fairway and you have to either use the "foot mashie" or ding up your clubs.

Customer Service

The staff has improved the last couple of years and is very pleasant.

Really good variety of canned and bottled cold drinks in the snack bar which is a must around here in the summer. The driving range is only fair but they seem to be limited by space there. Good chipping green with sand trap. Putting green is too small for the weekend crowd.
