Shoots in the 80s

Avery Ranch is a great course that is always in great shape. With cart it's close to $60, but it's worth it. This course is all about the tee box. There isn't a lot of bailouts off the tee. There's trouble, in the form of Oaks everywhere, if you miss the fairway, but if you find the short grass you are rewarded with fairly simple second shots and forgiving greens. The layout is also very beautiful. This is a course I never get tired of playing as there are several ways to get around the course. The Club House and restaurant/bar are very nice as well. Your first beer at the 19th is only a dollar. My only gripe is that there is one fat Marshall who seems to think it's his job to act like a jerk all day, but other than him the staff are all great.

Outstanding golf course in north Austin. The course conditions are fantastic year-round, with the fairway conditions similar to high-end private clubs. This is definitely a "Driver's course" where tee shots are key to a good round. The course is fairly open and scenic, without a lot of housing development. Not a particularly long course, although the par 3's are fairly long. The course seems to get a lot of play on weekends. It is a great value for the price.

Customer Service

Nice staff.
