nice course. played early in the morning and had to deal with dense fog for first 4-5 holes. the marshall said that is common at this course. most holes were fairly short, but required some knowledge of the course and it's hazard locations. it will definitely be easier the next time knowing the layout better. it's nice to visit, not too crowded but pace was nonetheless slow b/c we were behind a slow group. the beautiful hill country scenery is highlighted on this course. snack bar was average, not much too choose from despite the resort atmosphere.

Just played here today!!. We made the trip out to Bandera Texas which is 40-60 miles west of San Antonio mostly because of the great weekday rate of 22.50 with cart.
The course sits in the midst of a neighborhood and what is I believe a resort/retreat center. I would say that this not an hard course to play but many of the holes dogleg. Water isnt much of a problem however there are some pretty large ponds in and around the course.(saw some big bass) I felt as if the holes seemed short as i drove them pretty well which is usually not my tendency, however trees are everywhere on the fairways and must be navigated. Most should be able to par or birdie more because of that. The Greens were somewhat parched which is usually the case around these parts due to lack of rain at this time but you could see that they were doing there best to keep it up. Fairways also parched. Tee boxes were excellent and clean. For the money this place is excellent.

Played course in the spring - the place was in great shape. Greens were fast but fair. Course was well maintained and the staff were polite and helpful. A great bargain for the price!
