Colovista is a great course even for the golfer still refining his/her game. The front 9 is a "open" links style course with the wind either helping or making you take another club up. The back 9 is more reminiscent of Georgia courses w/ Pine trees that are native to this are only. The loblolly pines add a great "feel" when you stroll through the back of the course. At a steep price, I could only play once per month, but jump at every opportunity to do so.

Customer Service

The staff is very friendly, and courteous, the food was great after a round and the ammenties were top choice.

The arbovista bar & grill, food is top-notch, and the gathering as the club-house mansion are everything that Rhett & Scarlet would want.

One of the most interesting and enjoyable courses I have played in Texas. The two nines couldn't be more different - like you are in different states. Front nine flat with water and vegetation like you're near the Gulf coast. The back nine in more typical central Texas with hills and trees.

Number 16 Par 3 has got to be one of the 2 or 3 prettiest in Texas. Hitting from a hill about a hundred feet down to the green. First time you play or if there is any wind, getting the right club is a sheer guess. The view is awesome with the Colorado river passing nearby and you can probably see 15 miles or more on a clear day.

A little bit of a hike from Austin but well worth it. Prices are about what you would pay (or less) for a nice daily rate course in Dallas. Although there are some houses on the back nine, I felt like I was way out in the country and away from the frenzy of the city.

Nice facilities and putting green. The driving range is a long way to go from the pro shop.

ColoVista is a course everyone should try to play at least once.....The scenery and layout are really different and no 2 holes the same. It was in great shape with an outstanding mixture of water, sand, trees, hazards, and hole design. Our 2-some got around in a little over 3 hrs. on a weekday....Reg. green fees too steep for most(we played for 1/2 price with a special pass) The steady breeze made a few holes long and helped out on a couple of others.....Holes 15,16, and 17 are awesome..a Texas version of Amen Corner.

Customer Service

Very friendly staff that were both helpful and courteous.
