This corse is in poor shape. The front nine greens are sand & clover patch riddled. The tee boxes are not ant better with divet filled uneven stances and no attention to level. The fairways on the back are NOT a reward as they are rutted and the same as OB or worse.
However this would be a great place to open a golf corse that would be better maintained and cleaner.

Customer Service

The guy at the desk is the rudest attendent I have ever seen and I'm not sure how they keep track but reciepts must be optional. You may or may not get one. There is NO customer service just give your $40 and like it.

I am a member of their GAP program and it's a great deal for someone who wants to play a couple times a week and doesn't want to pay an arm and a leg. The fairways have been in great shape lately but the greens have really gotten away from them because of nut grass. Hopefully they'll get it back together. For what it is and the fact that you can play at night, it's a neat experience. Note: If you are going to play at night, stay in the fairway. If not you're hosed. Nice practice in playing conservatively. It's also not a bad price for the area (Timber Creek, Magnolia Creek etc. all in the $50-60 range and play MUCH slower). The only real criticism I have is their greens right now, completely inconsistent and with huge dirt gaps mostly on the front nine. Will ruin a good game.

Customer Service

You know, the customer service varies. There is one guy who is rude, but for the most part the rest of the counter people are serviceable.

Despite my frustrations with Beacon Lakes, I end up playing there every two months or so due to its location. The best thing you can say about it is conveniently located and that the course and staff are consistent. The course is consistengly in rough shape - and by rough I mean there is too much of it and it isn't maintained. The staff is consistently unfriendly and act as if they are doing you some great favor by letting you play. THEY LET EVERYBODY PLAY! No matter how packed it already is or how far ahead you call for a tee time, they walk anybody and everybody on.

I think it is an awsome course. I am 13 years old and I shot an 85 with 1 mulligan on the front and one in the back. I chipped in from off the green and got within 5 inches of the flag on number 10 from 95 yards away. And I really don't think that the rough is that thick.

Customer Service

Service was very good.

Nice course. I really enjoyed it. I have not played much recently, but used to play regularly and have played many courses in the Houston area. I agree that the fees are a little steep. However, I found the course to be much nicer than the ones with the cheaper fees.

It's not a bad little gold course, but it's not worth the money. There are better courses in Houston for less money. I do not mind the price ... for a better course. But because it is overpriced, it is usually pretty easy to get a tee time. Nighttime golf is great, but once again, it is high.

Customer Service

A little unfriendly.

Played the course for the first time Oct. 4th at night. Fairways were in good shape and the greens were true. Pretty straight forward with some water and sand, but the rough is absolutely brutal! You can hold a ball an inch over the rough, drop it, and watch it disappear. The pro tip is to hit the ball into the middle of the fairway.

Customer Service

Very courteous and helpful

Greens: very nice, not a lot of guessing involved, straight and true. Fairways: very well maintained Rough: Ridiculous. Must of rolled 8 balls just off the fairway and didn't find not one. It doesn't make for an enjoyable round when you spend your allotted time on each hole looking for a ball that's impossible to find. Gimme a break, it's not like they are going to host a US Open there anytime soon.

Customer Service

The people behind the counter could be a little nicer.

Nice course, but don't go there within 2 days of heavy rain, as the fairways can be like one big sponge. Might not be a problem for you pro's, but for rookies like me who have to rely on a little roll to help their game out a little...forget it.

Customer Service

I thought the staff was very friendly.

Those calling this a red neck course are out of line. Management does a good job of keeping the course in good shape and enforcing proper dress (I''ve never seen tank tops) and etiquette. It''s hard to find a course that is well run, in good shape all year round, playable at night, and still a nice challenge for golfers of all levels. And for under $30 a round, it is a nice alternative to the pricer daily fee courses around. One of my favorite places to play, and I''ve played plenty of pricer courses aroung Houston.

Customer Service

Head pro is very knowlegable. Gave me the most helpful lessons I have ever had.
