The river course is the better course and is in pretty decent shape. This is a good course for being a municipal course. The cost is fairly low for both the River and Hills courses. The Hills course is cheaper to play. The front 9 on the river is nice to play, and the back nine is good, but runs parallel to the entrance road all the way through hole 14, so the scenery on some of those holes isn't the best. Overall, a good course and worth playing for the money.

Customer Service

Not so great. No one in the pro shop seems to be real personable. Sometimes they can be downright rude. Oh well, no one goes to a golf course to get good service I guess, you go to play golf.

Have played both the River and Hills course over 20 times a piece. The River is one of the finer city owned courses I have ever played, but is a little overpriced on the weekends. The Hills has some good holes, but needs to be kept better. I never payed to play the courses because my high school team practiced their, but it is worth the money.

Hills Course is OK, River Course is overpriced after renovations. Golf carts still travel up the middle of the fairways and some holes have no grass in the middle of the fairway. Staff is indifferent at best, rude at worst. Skip this course. There are better options in Fort worth and Arlington for the money.

The best muni in Fort Worth without question! Two courses, River and Hills. The river course just underwent an extensive renovation and is starting to really shape up. Good layout, well framed views from the tee box. If not for things like types of grass and condition in the middle of a 100+deg. Texas summer one would not know it was a muni. The hills course is alright. It has some great holes and some blatently average ones too. All in all not bad though.

Would like to give hills course a 3 but river gets a 5
