Great course in Downtown Houston. Crowded? What do you think a course in Chicago would be like. Great clubhouse and staff. Course management important here. Bring your wedge and try to score.

Poor condition. Terrible layout. It's a hacker's haven and many of the holes run side by side so be prepared to dodge errant balls.

After a complete renovation that took what seemed forever to complete, this municipal course re-opened in the past year and the only good thing I can say about it is that it's close to downtown Houston. This is an example of what happens when too many city councilmen and bureaucrats get involved in something they know nothing about. It’s a mess of a layout.

Firstly, it's way too short. Secondly, the first hole offers one of the most difficult tee shots I've ever seen, and thirdly it was in extremely poor condition when I played it last month.

However, if you need easy access from downtown Houston and you're looking for a fairly easy golf course to play, this is the place to be.

The new clubhouse is actually quite nice, but it closes a bit too early in the evening.

Good location. Good Shape, not easy but not too hard for beginners.

Too many par fours, only two par 5's.

Too many par 4's for my tastes. Fairly wide open, not a lot of lost balls even if you miss your fair way. The rough isn't. The maintance is good for the price. The course is best played walking since it's cart path only. A lot of greens protected by water. Greens fairly easy to read.
