This is a beautiful course! One of the best in the Houston area! The layout is very challenging and the course is well maintained..located near Tomball NW of the Houston area near Magnolia you are truly in the country..the air is clean and the scenery is first rate!

Beautiful course. Will test the skills of all levels of golfers. Must play the course and not allow the course to play you. If you try to overpower this course it will bite you. This is a must play in the Houston area.

Huge greens and expansive fairways. Unlike most Houston area golf courses, High Meadow Ranch is built among rolling hills. The best hole is the eighteenth. The hole is easy on the eye, nicely frame by tall pines. It requires a 210 yard carry over an creek followed by a long iron back over the creek. The green is generous but has trickly undalations.
Overall the course has expansive fairways and huge greens. Unfortunately if you do miss the fairway, you're in timber and will be lucky to find your ball.

It is a LONG way from downtown Houston. Driving time is 1 1/4 hours to 1 1/2 hours, depending on traffic.
Tough to walk. It is built in a undeveloped sub-division with some distance between the holes.

This is new gem on the north side of Houston. It is a better layout than Winrose, Gleannloch Farms and the TPC at the Woodlands.
From the tips it is over 7000 yards. I played the next tees forward, about 6800 yards. I needed to play the white tees, 6200 yards. Overall it is a good test of your game.

Course maintained well. Fairways in good shape, greens in excellent shape-fairly quick-lots of slope changes in greens, rough very high in places, good elevation changes for a houston course.

Location, variety of holes

Hard to pick it's weaknesses, but it'll sure bring YOUR weaknesses to the surface!!!

I'm new to this game, and don't really keep score, but I've played this course twice with experienced golfers. It's absolutely beautiful area. There's this long, floppy grass in the far rough that eats golf balls. The guys with experience, 80's and below, say it's worth the trip and the $$$. Dave Ogrin is a major player, and the pro's like to warm up here.
Short drive from Houston or Bryan.
