Shoot in the 80s

San Antonio Country Club is the oldest course in the area.
The famous Bobby Jones played exhibitions here in the early 1900's.

It's well maintained. It better be; considering what the members have paid to keep it so.

This club has some great players who have tamed it, but for the less experienced it comes off as a championship level course.

The rough is brutal. Undulating bermuda fairways will vary your lie and consequently the flight pattern of your ball.
The greens are fairly slick and the greenskeeper likes to put his pin placements in the slope or near a tier that falls off dramatically.

Varying holes with different looks makes this course
a great challenge for the average golfer.

The green fee for guests, I believe, is around $75.00

Most of the members are hunters so typically the course is empty. You can play eighteen in under 4 hours; easily.
