Shoots in the 80s

This municipal practice facility has a driving range, putting green, chipping/sand bunker green, and a 3 par course. When mosquitoes are kept under control, it is a very slow paced, great practice facility to be enjoyed by all. Golfers must use humility and patience as this is a high volume facility with golfers of all skill levels. The grass is chewed up from overuse/no recovery periods BUT tight lies are common in San Antonio and this is a great place to practice them. Challenge yourself to shoot plus 3 on the par three course, it's harder than you think.

Customer Service

Great.

I hate to say it but the chewed up tee boxes remind me of Alamo Golf Course.

Shoot in the 80s

A par 3 that's been around a long time. Used to be known as "Conrad's" and run by Joe Conrad an accomplished amateur player.

Eventually Joe got out of the business and now the City manages it. Now it's a government-run par 3.

This goat track is wonderful for kids or adults just getting into the game. When I was sixteen I witnessed a birdie from the fairway by a 10 year old using a three wood!

Purple Martin (swallow) houses at the first tee make it
a great garden experience.

The range is wide open, but the range balls are old and "dead."

The service is grouchy and apathetic.

I boycott this place.

Evenings before sunset with a date that wants to start playing beer golf is the best scenario for an enjoyable experience here.
