Shoots in the 100s

This is a very beautiful course that is well maintained. It has bent grass from tee to green which makes for some very enjoyable play. There are 18 holes styled after a Scottish links course (the Tricolour course has been removed since the previous review in 2003 which was part of the 27, and the entire par 3 course has been removed too). The regular costs are about average ($40 week/$50 weekend) but the early twilight rates (starting at noon week/11am weekend) are a very reasonable $29 and $32 for the quality of this course. The course itself is rather difficult with lots of water to make you focus and plenty of hazards around the green, not to mention the difficult rough. However, a poor player like me can still enjoy this course without paying the extremely high rates of TPC in Va Beach or having to drive to Williamsburg.

Driving range was nice but a bit pricey at $5/bucket, but that is compared to local military base courses.

Shoots in the 100s

Possibly the best course on the Southside of Hampton Roads. Definitely the best course I have played. Also the best value in the area. Only $39 on the weekend after 2pm. This is a Links style course very much in the fashion of those courses they play for the British Open. Accuracy is at a premium because the rough is the tall weed grass that you see the pros trying to hack out of every year at the British Open. 27 holes, 3 distinct 9 hole setups, plus an 18 hole par 3 course.

Customer Service

Didn't run into any problems on the course so I really can't say anything on this subject.

Shoot in the 80s

A very fun course to play. Is built in links style with rolling, bent grass faiways. Nice tee boxes and greens. Has good rates for the quality of play. Three separate 9 hole courses. Course is kept in great shape and has a great layout. Highly recommended if you are anywhere in the area.

Customer Service
