No driving range, weak putting green.

A respectable course with a layout that favors those who like to work the ball either way. Greens are a little too slow, and it takes quite a few holes to find a groove considering there is no driving range. A hole to make note of is the beautiful par 3 #8. It's 190 from the back with a 170 carry over a pond. Very challenging with water in the front, sand to the right, and a creek to the left. Pro shop is more like a local deli, purely a watering hole for those coming in off 18.

great oaks is a gem in the rolling hills of floyd county. always in great shape with fast, smooth and well maintained greens. the staff if very friendly, even with a very limited pro shop.
