Shoots in the 80s

Played the Woods/Lakes on 3/12/12. The fairways, especially the Woods were very wet which made it hard to evaluate how they would play if dry. The Woods is a not very interesting 9 holes. But the Lakes is excellent with very challenging holes. I would rate the Lakes a 5 and the Woods a 3.
The staff was very friendly including the desk cashier, the starter and the ranger.
I only paid the "cart" fee due to having a VSGA card.

Shoot in the 70s

The Hamptons is a 27 hole course that is well worth the trip. The clubhouse towers over the parking lot welcoming you. The staff is friendly and nice to talk to. The clubhouse is very nice inside with a good restraunt and well stocked proshop. The normal 18 there is a combination of the Woods 9 and the Lakes 9. The layout is pretty average on the Woods, but spectacular on the Lakes. The Woods is a pretty easy nine. The fairways are average, and the greens are fast with very little undulation. The Lakes is where it is all worth it. A challenging(and long) layout, it is gorgeous. With water coming into play on almost every hole, it is fun to look at and play. They have a putting green and driving range. The driving range is not much to speak of and is way away from the clubhouse. You have to ride a cart to get to it. The other nine the Links, is a short but tough experience to try. The rough comes to your knees and the greens are very undulating. Definately recommend the Lakes.
