Shoots in the 90s

I should have checked the slope rating, 139 (very high),as this course is narrow and hilly and almost a "target golf" type course. Bad for hackers. The hazzards are right next to the fairways and greens with NO bail outs. LOTS of lost balls. VERY bad shape, Greens are a joke and the rough is 5 inches high with 5 inches of leaves on top. No fun, will never play again. Only saw 6 other people on a great autumn day - nuff said.

Customer Service

Very friendly desk guy, never saw a ground keeper maybe that is why the course is so bad.

Shoots in the 80s

The course is in horrible condition. The greens are ridiculous. When I played, the greens seemed as if they hadnt been cut in a month. I was very displeased with the course and do not look forward to playing there again.

Shoot in the 90s

This course has come into its own with many recent improvements, including a beautiful new clubhouse, reworked Tee and improvements to the fairways. The maintenence has greatly improve over the last year and it is reflected in the tee boxes and the greens. Hole Number 5 is a beautiful par 3 across Smith Mountain Lake. This course is wll wiorth the drive and I have always enjoyed my visit.

Customer Service
