Played there in February and was so saddened by the condition of the course. I love the layout with two completely separate and distinct nines (the front is short and favors a fade and the back is long and favors a draw), but over the past several years since I played it last, the condition has really deteriorated. The greens have lost any of there past definition and are now simply small circles in only so-so condition and the fairways have spotty grass, dirt, weeds and weedy grass. The tees and traps were in ok condition, though nothing pristine.

I talked to the pro and he did say that they are putting a bunch of money into the course this year to overseed fairways with bermuda, to better withstand drought, and the greens and continue with their restoration project. I hope they succeed because this is an enjoyable course to play when it is in good shape.

The ratings below are based on waiting until late summer or fall to give mgt a chance to get the restoration going.

How can you beat it for the price. What a layout! Ed Ault created a gem way back when. If you are not expecting a pristine playing experience like you would get at RTJ you should not complain for the value is definitely here. The course is VERY walker friendly and the locals play with the etiquette of days gone by. Come and enjoy the value and a day in the country. Stay off of the back tees unless you can carry the ball 250+ consistently.

I first played this hole in 2002 and the course was in almost perfect condition. I played it again recently and you can't tell the difference between the fairway and 2nd cut. I don't know if it's under different ownership or what, but the course is almost unplayable now.

Customer Service

Very poor. You'd think as rude as they are that the course would be in better condition.

Played on Thursday in the midst of a dry spell...the fairways were decent and not completely dried out as I expected them to be..the greens were very long and shaggy making for some very difficult putts...they were also very wet as it seems they were being watered right before I got on every single hole..all in all a decent time and you cant beat the price..

Customer Service

Friendly

This is a jewel of a track from the tips (gold) and men's (blue). The white (geezer) tees are rather recent and turn this Ault gem into a "practice track". When I "practice" there I play the blues save for #'s 4, 6, 8, & 13 where I play the tips just for their character.

Customer Service

Country gracious in the nicest sense.

Great practice course for the money. Nothing super special about the course. Major renevation has been done improving the overall course. Tee boxes are usually in rough shape. Greens are fast most of the year.

Customer Service

Everyone is real friendly.

Mostly wide open. The par 5's are must score holes on this course. They are wide open and begging you to grip it and rip it. If you can go down town with the big stick, you'll be in position to score with a short iron approach. There are a couple of more technical holes where laying up off the tee is not a bad idea. The greens are typically tough to hold, especially in the summer. You'll all love number 7. Distance on this course is rewarded and the penalty of a wild drive is not that bad. Well worth the risk.

Customer Service

The staff is always very nice
