Kastle Greens is a fun course, off the beaten path. Generally it doesn't get a lot of traffic. I like the layout, but the course retains water like nobody's business, so I don't advise going any time that there has been rain.

Bang for the buck is unbeatable.

The variety of holes is very nice. There are wide par 5's for those of us who can hit it far, but not always straight, as well as tight doglegs and well-placed hazards for the finesse player. Hole #9 is fun as it can be approached from a two directions, one of which is a big gamble...go and you'll see why! Every hole offers something new which keeps it interesting.

The biggest problem with this course is that you lose ALOT of balls. Several times we hit into the fairway over a hill and could not find our balls. If you hit off of the fairway, there's not much hope finding the ball as there are trees or 6"+ grass just off of the fairway.

This course has a great deal of variety and would offer challenges to most anyone. The front nine are links-style, while the back nine are plantation style.
Water comes into play on many holes and there are many narrow tree-lined fairways. All three times I have gone the course was not in great condition due primarily to weather conditions(I went duringsummer drought 2 years ago and during a very rainy season last fall) Just off of the fairway the rough quickly turns into tall thick grass, and in some places in a wet season, there is standing water in many areas, especially the back nine.

The tees are in generally good shape, and the greens are great and become pretty fast after the morning dew burns off.
