Goat Track! Don't really know how else to describe this sorry excuse for a golf course! You could practice putting on gravel or just come here, you will get nearly the same roll.

Customer Service

There is none! The manager or so called "Pro" should be put under review, the staff that work behind the counter need to attend a customer service course.

Played just about every course in the area, Sewells Point is probably the best maintained and have a great staff to greet you. Played this place called Virginia Beach National, thought it was pretty nice. Also played Cahoon Plantation, great greens and great customer service.

I must admit I'm a fairly new golfer, just starting out and feeling my way around a course. I arrange a trip with my father, brother-in-law, and brother (who is also just starting out) and we're off. On the 12th hole, we had let a few people play through because we were a little slower, no worries - beginners give way to the Tiger Woods wanna-be's. Then the unthinkable - the cart breaks down. Wires are sparking, the cart is unusable. I call the clubhouse, no problem, we'll send someone out. I call again, no problem, we'll send someone out. I call again, same guy, I told him I wanted a refund and low and behold, someone came out. I guess money talks. Twenty minutes have gone by, several groups have passed us up.
We resume only to find the ambassador following us around in his loud gasoline cart. We'd stop to tee off, he'd stop and glare at us. What the hell? So I called the main office and asked to have this guy move on.

He's an old retired sort, clearly with nothing better to do, staring a hole right through me. The more we played, the more he followed and stared. I called the clubhouse again - "Please tell this guy to move on!" I was a nervous wreck. Still he didn't budge - might as well call him "Velcro Man".
At that time, I'm teeing up for the 17th hole and that ambassador told us to stop mid-play and let a group play through - on the 17th hole! He was about as nasty as they come - arrogant and pissy because I had reported him. This was unbelievable. Last call to the clubhouse - I want to speak to a manager when I get in.

He speeds away - no doubt to defend his side of the story to his boss. When I arrive at the clubhouse, there they sat the two of them, thicker than thieves, planning what they would say to me. She takes me in the back, through the kitchen, into some crowded smelly room that had not seen daylight in the last ten years and proceeds to ask me in her best condescending voice, "so what's the problem?"

What's the problem? Is it protocol to follow people around and make them feel uncomfortable? I call it stalking, you have a better name? Hard to believe we were the only slow players on the course, hard to believe we were involved in speed-golfing instead of having fun.

She looked at her watch and said, "you've obviously taken too long, I would have asked you to leave by now". Nice.

Did you know our cart was broken and we had to wait twenty minutes for a new one? "um... no."

Did you know you sent us out with bad equipment with disconnected wires? "um... no."

Did your team tell you that I had called several times to complain? "um...." Yeah, you get the picture. This woman was disgusting. I was totally upset and she defended her little man, stating he was doing his job.

"Would you like a voucher for another day?" she reluctantly asked, clearly not wanting to give an inch. You've got to be kidding, right? Do you think I'll ever play here again? Do you not think that all of my family is keeping quiet about this experience? I think you lost a little more than just little ol' me - a beginner. You've lost the respect and dignity of being a manager, of doing right by the customer, of understanding your team and taking action.

She just didn't get it, and still doesn't get it - the customer is mostly right and stalking is still a bad thing, whether you're getting paid for it or not.

Customer Service

Poor, very very poor. That manager should be fired. I cannot believe this plump woman sat in front of me, snug as can be only to tell me "too bad". Any other manager would have been terminated.

Hundreds of golf courses, lots of money spent. Dealing with nasty management? Priceless. I'll never play there again.

I have played at Ocean View for 10 years and I would have to say the course is in the best shape ever. The tees are excellent, the fairways and the rough is outstanding and the greens since they vericut them they are no doubt the best greens in the area

Customer Service

service was okay the snack bar was extreamly slow and the lady in the proshop was not very warm but the starter and the rest of the outside help were excellent

I never played the course before the big remodeling job that happened here. The course wasn't in bad shape, but I thought some of the greens were different from others. I felt some greens were faster and harder than others. The prices were fair and I thought nthe staff was great. Not in the best of areas, but a fun course to play.

This course recently re-opened after an extensive "remodeling". It's most recent claim to fame: Tiger Woods conducted a seminar at the course.
Those of you familiar with the old Ocean View will look at this course in much the same manner you look at your old high school girlfriend when you find out she had a face lift, some lyposuction and a boob job; all the bells and whistles are nice, but you can't get all of the bad memories out of your head.
The layout is nearly the same, thought there are some new holes, specifically, number two and eighteen. The nines have been reversed. The tee boxes and fairways are in good shape, yet the greens (much like the afore-mentioned fake boobs) are suspiciously hard; a few well struck iron shots hit the green and left no ball mark. The greens are great however, smoooth, fast and slightly undulating.
The overall verdict: A fun course, you will probably play every club in your bag and it is a good course for skins or vegas..not a good club to test your long irons (aka deer run or sleepy hole)or your course mangement.

Customer Service

Staff was pleasant and courteous.
