Pete Dye ruined this piece of real estate. It has too many un-natural sculpted dropoffs and mounds and little pot bunkers. The condition is usually very good, but the layout is terrible. I played it dozens of times before the renovation and 5 times after and I just can't like it.

Awesome tees, greens, and fairways. All are bent grass. Very well marked, all sprinkler heads have yardages to front, middle, and back of green. Beautiful scenery. 16, 17, and 18 are awesome finishing holes. Try playing the par 3 17th when the black tees are all the way back...forget getting on the green if the wind is in your face.

The greens are usually really slow. The driving range isn't the best. Nice area to hit from, but not well marked...not nearly as nice as the course.

Beautiful course. About 8 holes run along the New River. It's easy to get tee times and it well worth the price.
