The fact that this club contains three courses is a major plus because the lengths range from a 6000 yard course by Donald Ross with bermuda, to a course that plays over 7000 yards and is overseeded. The type of course you play all depends on the kind of mood you are in. The facilities at all three courses are TOP notch.

The only weekness of this course is that they are not all together, but the problem is solved by having a large Clubhouse at two of the courses.

The Country Club of Virginia is versatile because of the three courses it offers. These courses fit skill level and the style of course you want to play. The James River course was host to two United State Amateurs and is reviewed as one of the finest courses in the United States. If you are in Richmond and have time to play a round or two, this course is your best bet.
