Shoots in the 70s

A beautiful setting, with challenging golf. The Ted Robinson design is interesting, and makes you think. The front nine is fairly open, mostly flat, with numerous bunkers and water hazards along the way. The course isn't much above the lake level, so some fairways are a little soft. My favorites are #6 and #8, with water carries and strategic decisions. #9 is a great challenge for better golfers, but a layup hole for most duffers. The back nine was not as enjoyable for me until we got to #16. Too much up and down, blind shots, narrow shots, houses nearby. #13 is a joy, like a reverse Augusta 16 in some ways. #16 is a beautiful hole. #17 is interesting, and #18 is a little bit of a letdown after some of the better holes earlier. Good practice range, good atmosphere, memorable course.

Shoots in the 70s

Great course with 2 completely different 9's. Front is wide open and flat with a couple holes by Lake Whatcom. Back 9 is tree lined, narrow and goes through neborhood up on the hillside. It has two signature holes, (one on each 9) #5 on the front and #15 on the back.
