The Home Course has nice views of the Olympic Mountains, Mt Rainier, and Puget Sound on some holes and then hundreds of homes that all look alike on others. The greens are ok - some weeds that don't usually affect putting. Fairways are poor there were several holes where there was sparse grass and mud in the fairways. There was were no course marshalls and holes had backups of 3 groups at times resulting in a 6 hour round 1:30 to 7:30. A lot of clowning around on the course as well - group behind us was smoking weed and hitting balls at each other - probly bored because of slow round. There's no restaurant here and the beverage cart has candy bars so bring your own food. Pro shop is a trailer.

Customer Service

Very poor - no course marshall, slow pace of play, no restaurant, sad beverage cart.

Hawks Prairie links - cheaper, better fairways and greens, decent food.
Chambers Bay - no comparison - Chambers is nice Home Course isn't.

I agree with the other poster. Very boring. Many other courses in the area are much more interesting. Many holes the same. Only challenge is the length. It's really long, especially from the back tees. But basically hit driver, iron and putt.

No clubhouse even YET! Pace of play abysmal beyond belief. Ridiculously slow and they're proud of it. Starter was saying how tough it was and that made it super slow.

Conditions were very good but price isn't worth it unless you're a washington resident. Boring, Boring, lack of difficulty.

Customer Service

ok.

Loved this course.
The only short coming was the older Marshal on 7/14/10.
He was asked to mention to a 3some 2 groups in front of our 4some to please keep pace. He refused. Therefore we waited on every tee box from the 6th hole on, as did the 4some in front of us. Our round took 5hrs and 10mins on a non-busy day. Please enforce, playing ‘ready golf’.
Will be back for sure just because the course is terrific and the greens are fast. A far better deal than Chambers Bay.

The Home Course in DuPont, Wa is the equivalent of watching paint dry or grass grow. It is the most boring golf course I have ever played. The lay out demands no shot shape, just hit your driver and hit your second and two putt. No character is an understatement. This course winds around ugly track homes with poor bunkering and fairways as wide as a driving range. This course off the tee has no premium on accuracy and only challenges the player on the greens where they have the landfill buried to make room for the 90k track homes. Play Gold Mountain, Spanaway, or Trophy Lake instead. If you want to save, go buy a bucket of balls and have at it for a similar experience as the Home Course the newest Puget Sound driving range.

A very nice addition to Western Washington golf. Wide open off the tee, but some very challenging approach shots. Greens are large and have some subtle breaks. After playing it three times, I've discovered that many holes play 1 club longer than you think. The biggest slope factor here is the wind which swirls in many directions and speeds, then not at all. Once the course fully matures, it will be a favorite of many. Too bad it will most likely be surrounded by houses in a couple of years. Right now, it's pristine with unparalled views. Fun course! Very affordable if you're flexible on your tee time.

Customer Service

Golf shop personnel could be more competent, friendly, and service oriented, but that should come in time as well when they get out of the trailer and into a clubhouse. Better beverage cart/sandwich service needed.

New course that is one of the best in the state with a great layout and fantastic views. When it first opened the course was firm and fast, but since then they have been over watering too much. Greens tend to have a lot of sand on them that can really effect your putting if the greens are wet. Great potential and a much better value than Chambers Bay comparative to the $ spent.
Clubhouse is not yet built.

Beautiful course with hard greens and wonderful views of Mt. Rainier and Puget Sound. Really worth the money at $35 for WSGA members. Greens should get better with age.

Customer Service

very good.
