terrain, driving range, rates, and the fact that they will not let you play 18 holes after 4:00.

Enjoyable course but I still cannot understand their justification for their rates. Too many other courses in the same vicinity to play Elk Run unless all others are booked. Druids Glen is just down the road and is a much better value.

The maintenance of the course

The shortness, could be longer

Very dry, very green, very well maintained. Driving range in some need of repair. Now hit into a net. Deer on course at times. Short par 4's, long par 3's nice par 5's.

No two holes resemble each other.

They overbook and the course can back up, especially on weekends. Driving range has not re-opened making warming up impossible.

Elk Run is an excellent public facility. Very challenging...the 7th hole especially. This course would be remarkable in many locations where terrain is mundane...Texas, New Mexico, etc. Pay attention to the warnings about distance and drop off. Don't use a driver on every tee. Your second round will be much better than your initial learning experience. Complex course.
