Shoots in the 100s

If you REALLY wanna save money on greens fees, play here. However, if you have a nasty temper when you 3-putt everything, you will lose money when you break clubs. Many of the greens aren't greens at all, just overused teeboxes that a flag has been stuck into. Only time I've ever 7-putted a green, and afterwards even with the low price, I felt I shoulda been paid by them to play there. There are plenty of cheap courses in the state and in the area, but none this bad. If you've been north and played Wayne Public in Bothell, the back 9 at Wayne is almost as bad as Tyee's entire 18. I'd bet even money that Tiger would even 4-putt at least 4 greens there, if not more. Don't go if you are looking for an enjoyable competitive golf outing.

Customer Service

They're nice enough people there, though. The "Pro Shop" is pretty lousy, but the people are not bad people at all.

Worst 18 hole course in the state. Just beating out Tall Chief. Clear this course and add a new runway!

Dry summer in Washington(!) has especially affected this course. Attempts to water the fairways and greens have come too late, so it seems to play like concrete. Many relatively short par 4s with wide fairways help keep scores down. One or two challenging holes, especially a long, left-curving, sloped par 5 on the back nine, which makes keeping your shots on the fairway very difficult. Pin placement on the two-tiered #17 green caused my partner and I to 6-putt the day we were there(up/down/up/down, etc.). Won't go back until some grass grows..

If you like to combine aircraft watching with a round of golf, Tyee is for you!

If you need total concentration while playing, though, steer clear of this joint. It lies directly south of the runways at Sea-Tac International Airport. A bunch of towers run right down the middle of the course.

The fairways are straight, and packed closely together. There are no trees, so be careful of errant shots.

There is a giant Sarlacc pit that swallows balls next to numbers two and seventeen.

Beer is cheap.
