Shoots in the 80s
Capon Springs is an excellent family resort. The golf course is moderately challenging with a beautiful view of the mountains. Most guest play 9 holes in the morning and 9 in the afternoon. The course is very forgiving for the novice golpher like myself. The course is well maintained. I would recommend a week at Capon to anyone. Customer Service Outstanding! Second to none... You can relax, play golf, eat till you explode, walk the various nature trails, or just sit and read a book in the hammoc |

I've been playing this course for about 20 years (and been going to the resort for over 30). It's a well-maintained, natural course that won't overwhelm you. The holes tend to be short, except for a 238-yard par 3. There is one par-5 easily reachable in two for longer hitters (card says 511, more like 460, though plays uphill). There are two other par 3s. The rest are par 4s of the short-to-medium length. Customer Service Informal, family-run resort. They've been very good to us over the years. Similar Products Used: You can only play the course if you are a guest at the resort. I highly recommend a trip if you are seeking a nice, relaxing vacation or if you are planning a group getaway. |

Only nine holes, private. You must be a guest at the resort to play. Plenty of challenges, with small greens and lots of rolling topography (it's in the mountains, after all). The 9-hole course has three par threes (although one is a healthy 238 yards, and is nicknamed easy bogey!). The shortest of the par threes is termed postage stamp (very descriptive) and will demand a very accurate shot to stay out of trouble. Similar Products Used: None |
