I've always thought I was a better player than than my scores produced on this course. It is a good and varying course. Wide open then tight. Ladies tees need work.

Challenge of length, and easy to walk. Family atmosphere.

Need some direction and management. Greens are far slower than they used to be.

I played Preston for about 6 years in college. I now live in Hawaii, playing some of the best courses in the world and still miss MY course. You can't beatit. You're always family there, and you always get a challenge from the course. I can't wait to get back to play.

Traps, water, mounds, and trees require serious attention, despite general openness of course. Length off the tee is a significant advantage. Greens have challenging contours that will prove real puzzlers when greens are speeded up.

Good maintenance and service. Food quality. Natural beauty.

Slow greens now and some traps contain hard sand. However, both areas are being improved. Driving range not long enough for woods.

Open front nine, long back nine (470 yard par 4) with last 4 holes particularly tight. Pretty flat overall with some subtle elevation changes. Some water. Greens not as fast as some, primarily due to club building green health now for increased speed later.

Well maintained overall with very nice, homey clubhouse. Food excellent with reasonable prices. Overall a very nice golfing experience, particularly in the Fall when the leaves have turned.

Customer Service

Despite having checked 1-2 balls lost, I play this course regularly and rarely lose a ball, although there are several areas where that is possible.
