A private club, but when I get the chance to play it, this is one of my favorite courses. Overall, the course appears to be fairly easy --not too long, limited out of bounds, no real unplayable areas-- but it can be a real challenge for those who don't hit it straight. The design is good, with a couple of long "boring" holes (#4 in particular). Although there is only one water hazard (lake, par 3), and limited sand traps, the real penality is hitting off of the fairway. The grass in the deep rough is the longest I've played in on a private course, but the amount and location of trees is the real killer. Hole #6 illustrates this perfectly, with a thick grove on the right hand side from the start of most people's drives landing zone right up to the green. If you slice bad, you'll be punching twice. The fairways have been newly resodded with bent grass, which is a real luxury to play off of. The greens might seem to have a lot of slope and break to them, but with the exception of a few, it is basically an optical illusion, and usually putting straight at the hole yields the best result. Greens are large, firm, and smooth.

Customer Service

Great people there. Pro shop will let you try out most clubs on the course. Young, active pro. All their carts seem to be very quick.
