Shoots in the 90s

The clubhouse is being completely rebuilt (after 50 years in their old one). Vitense Golfland really has something for everyone. Two minigolf courses. Batting cages. A rock-climbing wall. Putting and chipping greens. Enormous driving range and a par-3 course.

The course is pretty easy, but it's really meant for the hacker/weekend golfer who doesn't want to spend more than $7 on 9 holes of golf. The tees are mats. The staff tries their best to keep the greens in great shape, and for the most part, they do (there isn't any loose dirt on the greens, but most weekend hackers don't bother repairing ball marks).

But the biggest draw is the driving range. There are two levels, one section is heated for cold-weather use. The range is very wide open, so even the worst slicer can go at it without much concern (just hit from the middle or the roadside tees).

*Note: I am reviewing the whole facility, not just the golf course.

Customer Service

Their pros (they have 5 or 6, I believe) are all PGA Class-A Pros, and are all top notch. The rest of their staff is made up of high school and college kids on their summer breaks, but are fine.
