Deer Haven golf course is a fairly new course that was carved out of a wooded area in a newly developed area of a Milwaukee suburb.

The course features a nice variety of par-3 holes ranging from short 130 yard “straight-on” holes to longer 250 yard dogleg right that requires a driver (this is the only par-4 on the course). The most interesting hole is the par-3 4th which requires a 180 yard drive across a small strategically placed pond if you want to have any change of making par. Other holes mostly feature heavily wooded areas as the main obstacle. There are no sand traps, however a couple of small streams are provided, but easily negotiable for most golfers. It currently appears that the course is being expanded to 18 holes. I suspect that the additional holes will be similar to the holes described above.

In my opinion, this course would be a nice place to take beginning golfers who have graduated from the really short par-3 courses. Otherwise, this is a somewhat "average" golfing experience since nothing really stands out as memorable.

Customer Service

The manager seema a little crusty. A better attitude would score higher marks.

Course features a nice club house with a full bar. Carts are available. I believe lessons are available (including kids).
